Reminders

Every client gets a reminder. You write none of them.

The confirmation at booking, the check-in the day before, the heads-up an hour out, and the pickup text. Sent on time under your shop’s name, without you.

  • SMS and email, unlimited
  • Replies land in one inbox
  • Clients never need an app

Four messages per appointment, none of them typed by you.

A confirmation the moment the slot is taken, a check-in a day ahead, a short heads-up an hour before, and a pickup text when you mark the dog done. Shift how far ahead each one goes, or switch any of them off.

Replies come back as a conversation.

Texts and emails land in one inbox, threaded by household, and a one-word “Y” flips the appointment to Confirmed on its own. When someone asks a real question, you jump into the thread and reply like a person.

Your shop’s name, on a number that is yours.

Messages go out from a phone number bought for your shop and registered with the carriers in your business name — which is also why the automated wording is fixed: what was registered is what gets sent. Everything around it is yours. Each message type has its own text switch and its own email switch, and anything you type in the inbox is in your words, saved as a snippet if you want it again.

Live in three steps

Email reminders start with your first booking. Texting follows once your number clears carrier registration, which we file for you.

Email starts with your first booking. Texting follows once your number clears.

  1. Confirm on bookingThe moment a slot is taken, the owner gets the details and a link to change them.
  2. Nudge the day beforeA check-in goes out a day ahead, or however many hours ahead you set. They reply Y to confirm.
  3. Say when the dog is readyMove the card on your board. The pickup text goes out.

Questions groomers ask

Four messages per appointment at most: the booking confirmation, a check-in the day before, a short heads-up an hour out, and the pickup text when you mark the dog done. Each one is its own switch, and each has a separate switch for text and for email, so you can run all four, one, or none.

Yes, by text or by email, and both arrive in the same inbox as a normal conversation. A one-word “Y” or “Yes” confirms the appointment on its own; anything longer than that is treated as a real message and waits for you, with the inbox flagging any thread you have not answered in two hours.

Every confirmation carries a link to their own booking, where they see your real openings and move themselves into one. If they reply in words instead, that lands in your inbox and you sort it out in the thread. Nothing is a dead end.

No. Messages are part of the $79, including the on-my-way texts mobile groomers send.

For anything you send by hand, yes — and you can save the lines you type often as snippets and reuse them in a tap. The automated messages are ours, and deliberately so: the exact wording is part of what your number is registered with the carriers to send, and shops that rewrite that are the ones whose texts start getting filtered. What you control is which messages go out, on which channel, and how far ahead.

They get the email version instead. Every automated message has one, and both channels are on unless you turn one off. Each client also gets a preferences page, linked at the foot of everything we email, where they choose which messages they want — so someone who only wants the day-before note can say so without calling you.
