Clients see your real openings, pay a deposit, and land on your board. You find out in the morning.
Slots come from your live calendar: your hours, your breaks, and how long each service takes. The calendar is checked again at the moment someone books, and the database itself refuses a second booking on a slot that is already taken.
A doodle takes two hours and you only do one big dog at a time. You set rules like that once, in plain settings — by service, by size, per groomer per day, or across the whole shop. Clients never see them. They just see times that work.
Every regular has a rhythm — six weeks, eight, whatever their dog needs. When one is due and has nothing on the books, GroomSpark nudges them to rebook. You set the cadence per dog, or let it follow the gap they have actually been keeping.
Most groomers are taking bookings the same afternoon they sign up.
No. A booking that fits your hours, your services and your capacity rules is simply booked — deposit taken, waiver signed, on your board. Your rules are the approval, which is why you only have to make them once.
They cannot. Every slot on offer is generated from your own calendar, and it is checked again at the moment the client hits book. If the slot went in the meantime they are told so, and sent back to pick another.
You set one percentage for your shop and it applies to every booking. It is charged to the card during the booking, on your own Stripe account — the money is yours from the moment it clears, not ours to pass on later.
You set the window — 24 hours, 48, whatever you run — and the fee that applies inside it. Cancel inside the window, from either side, and the fee goes to the card on file. If there is no card, staff get told, rather than the charge quietly failing.
Bookings are written into your Google Calendar as they happen, so the rest of your life can see them. It is one way on purpose: what you block out in GroomSpark is what clients cannot book, so your hours and your days off belong here rather than there.
Nothing on top of the $79. There is no per-booking fee and no cap on how many you take — a hundred bookings a month costs exactly what four does. Card processing is Stripe’s own rate, charged by Stripe.
